Business Development Manager – Washroom / Hygiene / Water Saving

Permanent full time position

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Based in Derby but with Nationwide client base


Salary £22,000 – £26,000 based on experience

£40,000 – £45,000 OTE

You are invited to apply for a position within a rapidly expanding washroom services company that specialises in water conservation products.

We are looking for a confident and ambitious BDM who can work to specific sales targets within a dedicated sales team at our Derby Office. HSG have customers all over the UK, so you will be required to travel to attend client meetings and surveys at varied and interesting sites around the country.

The role primarily involves the sale of our own manufactured Ureco urinal product alongside our water management system on service contracts. In addition, we provide general washroom products (air fresheners, soap dispensers, paper, feminine hygiene units etc.) again on service contracts. We also install water saving devices in sinks and WC’s on a contractual basis too. HSG pride ourselves on our environmentally friendly credentials and are proud of our ability to help companies make significant water consumption savings.

You need to have a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated. Ideally, you will have previous sales experience and some knowledge of the Hygiene Services industry would be advantageous although not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure and have excellent negotiation skills. You will be competent in the use of IT to manage client records on our CRM and for creating quotations.

You will have a full clean driving licence and will be required to have a criminal record check (DBS).
