Ureco's 1-Year Anniversary at Bolton Wanderers FC
Date posted: 26.07.2023
EFL League One club Bolton Wanderers have been enjoying substantial savings and an improved washroom environment for a year now after teaming up with HSG to install the company’s award-winning Ureco system.
With a capacity of nearly 29,000 at the University of Bolton Stadium, the long-established club were keen to reduce water consumption, save money on water bills and reduce the incidence and cost of unplanned maintenance – particularly on match days. As well as this, the washroom experience was improved for players, staff and fans alike through the elimination of blockages and odours.
In July 2022, 72 Ureco urinal sleeves were installed in male washrooms for players, staff and fans around the stadium alongside 68 water managers.
Since then water consumption has been reduced by nearly 14 million litres which represents an annual water bill saving of £36,410 and a reduction in the club’s carbon footprint of 14.68 tonnes of CO2 a year.
Ben Cowcill, Head of Stadium & Facility Operations said: “This has been a win/win situation for Bolton Wanderers FC. By adopting HSG’s Ureco system, we are reducing our carbon footprint, saving water and money which is good news across the board.”
