Blackpool Pleasure Beach Still Riding High With Ureco
Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the UK’s most ride-intensive amusement park, has expanded its relationship with HSG – further boosting its commitment to save water and improve the washroom experience for thousands of visitors a year.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is home to such iconic rides like the Grand National and Revolution; fast-paced white-knuckle rides The Big One and Infusion as well as family rides in the UK’s only Nickelodeon Land.
Saving Water
With such a consistently high footfall, the amusement park was keen to improve the washroom experience and improve its environment credentials.
This led to it being one of the first major UK attractions to install HSG’s innovative Ureco system in customer washrooms ten years ago.
This two-fold system has saved the park millions of litres of water since installation and has significantly reduced water bills every year.
Renewed Contract
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has now signed a further five-year Ureco service contract. Furthermore, its recommendation has led to the system being installed at the new seafront Boulevard Hotel with 120 stylish rooms and conference facilities.
HSG managing director Simon Rice said: “We have developed a brilliant relationship with the team at Blackpool Pleasure Beach over the past ten years and are delighted to have them on board for a further five years.
“They were amongst the early adopters of the Ureco system and we have continued to service the washrooms ever since.
“The water and cost savings speak for themselves and we were particularly delighted when they recommended that the fantastic new Boulevard Hotel adopt the system ahead of their recent opening.”
