Seven restaurant and café bar in Derby is among the growing number of hospitality businesses who have teamed up with HSG UK to improve the customer washroom experience and save money on their water bills.
The Challenge
Seven is a family-owned restaurant and café bar in the heart of Derby’s Pride Park – a thriving business park on the outskirts of the city centre.
The venue is popular with a broad range of customers from those looking for a business breakfast, lunch with colleagues, dinner with the family or just a lovely coffee and pastries with friends. There are also two private dining rooms designed equally for corporate events and celebration gatherings.
The restaurant manager Lucy Rawlings’ contact with HSG UK was prompted by three key issues – blockages and smells in the men’s washroom and also the desire to keep a tight control of utility costs.
Our Approach
HSG UK’s technical team carried out a survey of the premises and estimated that the Ureco system would save the restaurant around £300 a year in water bills.
They also carried out training with the in-house cleaner on the correct way to clean the urinals fitted with the sleeve to ensure that the enzymes worked to full effect – preventing blockages and eradicating unpleasant odours.
The Result
Since installing the Ureco system in the washroom, there have been no further blockage incidents, no customer complaints about the washrooms and a happy cleaner.
